Across the world and for many decades the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL) of RWTH Aachen University has stood for successful and forward-thinking research and innovation in the area of production engineering. In six different work areas, research activities not only relate to fundamental theories and findings but also to the application of findings in an industrial context. These activities are being consolidated on the RWTH Aachen Campus in the Production Engineering Cluster. Furthermore, practical solutions are worked out for the purposes of rationalising production.

Networking Dinner

The evening ‘networking dinner‘ will be held at Karl’s Wirtshaus tavern which is located in the beautiful old town of Aachen, diagonally opposite the historic town hall.

Transport to the networking dinner will be provided.  A coach will depart from outside Manfred-Weck-Haus at 18:30.  Return transport will not be provided.

Starter: Cream of potato soup with cream fraiche


Main: Sauerbraten of beef with Aachener Printen sauce, Red cabbage with apples and homemade spaetzle


Desert: Caramelised Kaiserschmarren with plum roaster
