Tour Summary:
The Laboratorio Subterráneo de Canfranc (LSC) is a leading facility for underground scientific research. It operates as a consortium of the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, the Aragon Regional Government, and the University of Zaragoza. Located beneath the Pyrenean mountain El Tobazo, the site offers a maximum shielding of 800 meters against cosmic rays, providing a low-background environment ideal for next-generation experiments in particle and astroparticle physics. The tour includes a presentation on the history, scientific research, and experiments conducted at the LSC, held in the laboratory’s auditorium, followed by a guided visit to the underground facilities.

Tour 2: University of Zaragoza’s Campus Rio Ebro Labs

Tour summary:
Visit to several laboratories within the Río Ebro campus of the University of Zaragoza. This campus, one of whose buildings is the venue for the conference, houses different departments and research institutes and technological centres related to Precision Engineering. A visit will be made to some of the most representative ones.
