Transportation in Glasgow
There are a number of transport options available for delegates. The conference venue can be reached by car or by public transportation, and further information can be found below.

| Bus | Metro Easy | Buses are the most common form of local transport in Glasgow, with over 80 routes operated by First Bus and other companies. Tickets include single, day, and weekly passes, and contactless or app-based payments are widely accepted. Express services by First Bus link the city centre to Glasgow Airport in about 15 minutes. |
| Subway | SBT | The subway is one of the easiest ways to get around the city centre, the west end and the southside of Glasgow. Running every 4 minutes at peak times, it takes just 24 minutes to complete a circuit of the 15 stations. You can buy a single ticket. Or, if you’re here for a few days, you can get a Subway Smartcard, which offers the best fares and you can top up as you go. |

Bicycle
The City is mostly flat and cycling-friendly. On campus, you’ll find lots of secure cycle racks where you can park your bike. If you don’t own a bike, Glasgow offers many options to hire one, find out more on the You Well website.
Bus
The University is directly opposite Glasgow’s main bus terminal Buchanan Bus Station.
Underground
The university is a short walk from Cowcaddens underground station – great for seeing some more of the city while you are here.
Rail
Situated in the city centre, our Glasgow campus is a 10 min stroll from Glasgow Queen Street Station and about 20 minutes walk from Glasgow Central Station. Visit National Rail Enquiries Service for train times.
Car
The University is easily accessible from Junction 16 (Westbound) or Junctions 15 & 17 (Eastbound) of the M8 motorway.
Although no parking is available on campus, the nearest car parks to the university are a short 5 min walk away:
Since June, 1 all vehicles entering the city centre zone area must meet the less-polluting emission standards or face a penalty charge. Some exemptions apply.

Airport
Glasgow Airport is situated approximately 10 miles to the west of the City Centre – approximately 30 minutes by taxi. There is also a direct bus link to Buchanan Bus Station, which is 200 yards from the University.
