Delegate Registration

Monday 8th & Friday 12th June, CERN, Geneva, CH

The programme for euspen‘s 20th International Conference & Exhibition in Geneva will include optional technical and guided tours at CERN.  These tours are conducted exclusively by members of the CERN personnel and will provide delegates with the ideal opportunity to learn more about the companies facilities, capabilities, technologies, product developments and expertise.

Tours will take place on Monday 8th and Friday 12th June 2020.

CERN Tour Terms & Conditions

Please read the following carefully.  Failure to respect any of these instructions may lead to your tour being cancelled.

Identification
Visitors will be required to provide personal data for visitor access cards to access the CERN site.  Data required will include; first name, last name, date of birth, country of birth & nationality.  This information will be captured during the registration process.
Visitors will be required to wear their CERN visitor card while on CERN premises.
Guided tours may also take place on the CERN French site.  All visitors should bring a valid identity card or passport with them with visa documents if applicable.
Luggage
CERN does not allow luggage in guided tours or exhibitions. No luggage storage facility is available.
Smoking
Smoking is not allowed anywhere at CERN.
Footwear
High-heeled shoes, open-toed shoes, flip-flops and sandals are not permitted.
Pets
Pets are not allowed anywhere at CERN.
The Tours
  • Due to the size of the CERN site visitors cannot complete half of a visit and then leave. Visitors must complete the entire tour.
  • For health & safety reasons, pregnant women, persons holding a pacemaker and disabled persons will not be allowed to access the underground area. There will however be many interesting places to be visited above ground.
  • Visitors should allow at least 3 hours between the end of the tour and the departure of their plane.

Technical Tour

Location: CERN

Date & Time: Friday 12th June 2020,   08:30 – 11:00

The technical tour will comprise of a tour of CERN’s main mechanical workshop, where conventional and high-precision computer numerical control machining, sheet-metal forming, welding engineering, electron beam welding, laser welding and cutting, micrometric 3D metrology and metallic additive manufacturing are performed.
