Welcome Reception

On the evening of Monday 16th September there will be a welcome Civic Reception which is open to all our meeting delegates.  The venue selected for this informal evening is the Chateau des Ducs de Bretagne, Nantes.

Located in the historic heart of Nantes, the Castle of the Dukes of Brittany is the flagship monument of its urban heritage, with the Cathedral Saint-Pierre.

On the city side, it is a fortress whose 500 meters of walkway are punctuated by seven towers connected by curtain walls. Court side, it houses an elegant ducal residence of the 15 th century tufa stone, late Gothic with early Renaissance-inspired brands, and other buildings dating from the 16 th and 18 th centuries. These contrast with their whiteness and carved refinement, with the roughness of the outer walls of blocks of granite separated by shale beds.

We invite our delegates to join us at for light refreshments with an opportunity to catch-up with old and new friends in this high profile venue.

Address:  1st Floor “Tour du Fer à Cheval”, Château des ducs de Bretagne, 4, place Marc Elder, 44000 Nantes
