euspen and CRC/TR 96, are pleased to invite you to the Joint Conference on Thermal Issues in Machine Tools, which will be held in Dresden, Germany from March 21 to 23, 2018.
The conference is a great opportunity for experts from academia and industry in the field of thermal modeling and optimal thermal design of machine tools to present and discuss their findings on a high scientific level . The conference intends to stimulate and support development and knowledge transfer in this field.
The purpose of the 2-day conference is to bring together members of companies and researchers for a mutual exchange of experience and knowledge.
The Conference on Thermal Issues in Machine Tools is organised by CRC/TR 96 and euspen, which has been working to solve the conflict between reducing energy consumption and increasing accuracy and productivity in machining since 2011.
The topics modeling and simulation, experimental methodology, design and bench marking were discussed in five previous CRC/TR 96-workshops. One issue was the future knowledge transfer to the economy.
