Project Description

Met & Props 2017

The 16’th International Conference on Metrology and Properties

of Engineering Surfaces 26th-29th June 2017

Further Information

Met & Props  26’th – 29’th June 2017 in Gothenburg, Sweden, at Clarion Hotel Post.

This time the venue will be in Scandinavia, in the country of wilderness, Nobel Prize, and advanced engineering, -Sweden. The the scenic costal town Gothenburg will host the event. Gothenburg (Göteborg in Swedish) is the home of Volvo and SKF, easily accessible by air flights from all over the world.

The timing is perfect in late June in the middle of the pleasant Scandinavian summer period.
Met & Props 2017 is focused on the progress in surface metrology, surface characterization instrumentation and properties of engineering surfaces covering a broad spectra of associated sub topics.

The conference will consist of 10 sessions traditionally given in the same conference room (no parallel sessions). Poster sessions as well as invited presentations and exhibitors from industry and academia will complete the oral presentations and lots of possibilities for common discussions and networking will be given.

In order to promote researchers to submit the latest and most interesting research, only abstracts are submitted before the conference and final proceedings will be compiled afterwards to give the authors a possibility to invoke conference feedback as well as permitting time to finalize empirical work.

Publication of conference papers will primarily be selected and made by the Institute of Physics, IOP, SCOPUS indexed e-journal “Surface Topography –Metrology and Properties” in a special issue. ALL presented papers (both poster- and oral presentation papers) will be collected in the OPEN access IOP Journal of Physics: Conference series.

Authors from academia, industry, and research institutes are invited to submit abstracts of about 300-600 words at latest the 1’st of December 2016 using the template format from the homepage.

We in the International programme committee hope that you will join in and make this conference a great event by spreading the information above in your industrial- and academic networks and bring you selves and your teams to Gothenburg to contribute to the exiting development of the area of metrology and properties of engineering surfaces.

On behalf of the local- and international organizing committees of the 16’th International Conference on Metrology and Properties of Engineering Surfaces.

BG Rosén, chairman of MetProps2017
