Delegate Registration

3rd June – 7th June 2019, Eskalduna, Bilbao, Spain

The programme for euspen‘s 19th International Conference & Exhibition in Bilbao will include optional technical visits tours.  These tours will provide delegates with the ideal opportunity to learn more about the companies facilities, capabilities, technologies, product developments and expertise.

Company Tours will take place on Friday 7th June 2019 and will run simultaneously so delegates will only be able to attend one tour.

Please note:  Coaches will provide a drop off at Bilbao Airport on all return journeys to Euskalduna, Bilbao.

Tour 1: CFAA (The Center for Advanced Manufacturing for Aeronautics)

Location: Technological Park of Zamudio Ed 202, 4817, BI, Spain

CFAA, the Center for advanced manufacturing for aeronautics is a R&D facility aimed at developing practical research projects around the Technology readiness Level stages 5-7.  There are more than 69 companies involved along with the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU, basically tier 1 in the aero engine sector, and machine tool and technology providers.

The current technologies comprises machining, additive manufacturing, welding, metrology, electro discharge machining, special processes. Machines and systems are similar in size to those used in aero engine component making.

Tour 2: IK4-Ideko, Danobat & Egile

IK4-IDEKO: IK4-Ideko is a research centre that specialises in industrial production and manufacturing technologies, and it is integrated into the IK4 Reseach Alliance. IK4-Ideko is known for the scientific excellence developed in the 4 research groups which are aimed at advancing the specialisation. IK4-TEKNIKER is a multidisciplinary technological center located in the city of Eibar.  IK4-TEKNIKER is a not-for-profit foundation, whose patrons and members of the board mainly come from industry.  Currently more than 260 people are working in the different departments and units achieving a total annual turnover of 29M€.  IK4-TEKNIKER is part of the IK4 research alliance that gathers 1,100 researchers spread all over 6 technological centers located in the Basque Country.
